Website Review - WarrantyElephant.com - Organize those New Construction Appliance, Product and Other Warranties in a Single Location and Receive Automated E-Mails so You Never Miss a Warranty Deadline or Expiration Date

PREA Signature Realty - WarrantyWarrantyElephant is a great website designed for storing and organizing warranty information.  For new home construction or custom homes, you often have a ton of warranty booklets and product information scattered about your new home.  After moving in, you often have additional work done which may have a warranty associated with the work.  Warranty Elephant allows you to organize and store warranty information in a single location.

PREA Signature Realty - Warranty

With Warranty Elephant, you enter the warranty information such as purchase information, serial numbers, date of purchase, warranty contact information, expiration dates, etc. into their database and can upload up to two files - photographs, warranty registration cards, proof of purchase, invoices, etc.  so you never have to worry about searching for warranty information.

Warranty Elephant then sends you regular e-mail alerts at periodic intervals prior to the warranty expiration date such as  6 months, 1 month and 1 week before your warranty expires.  Warranty Elephant insures that you never miss a warranty deadline or warranty expiration date.

If you are in new home sales or custom home building, Warranty Elephant allows you another way to add value to a transaction and to assist your customer by making future warranty claims easy to handle.

Ryan, This is slick!  I think I'm going to give it as a client gift for a new home build.  Thank you for sharing.

Leolinda - We are going to start using it.  I can see how it would be helpful to purchasers and is even better than the binders and CDs we provide to our customers now.  I am glad the review helped.

Thanks Ryan for the reminder, I have always placed my warranties in one file so I can easily find them.  I am ok until the wife asks where they are and then I suffer from the dreaded some-timers disease.

Fernando - Thanks... I like the product and it solves many problems.  I often have had to search for a warranty to see if something is still covered or not.  This places all my warranties in a single spot and notifies me as they expire.

Gabe - I like this one.  It is a pretty simple idea - but I like how it works.

Gita - Thanks for reading.... I would add that it works for any kind of warranty.  I just see it working for me for new home construction related warranties.

Janice - Thanks.  I try to search out things that may be useful to new home buyers.  Glad to pass along what I find.

Don - Same problem... but worse I always seem to purchase those appliances that go bad right at the warranty.  It would be nice know when the warranty expires.  I used to track with a spreadsheet but it was a pain in the neck.

Ryan, What a find! I need more organization like this. Another great program you may already know of is Passpack. You can store all your passwords (up to 100 I think) for FREE. Check it out.

Posted by Lynn Kenton Ventura Real Estate (Ventura Property Shoppe) 7 months ago

Lynn - I have a few passwords sites and a few reminder services that I am looking at for a future post.  I like to test drive them before I post info.  I don't think Passpack is on the list but I am going to add it to the list.

Will work well for all the techie's who put everything on line, my biggest concern would be the people who would change email addresses and forget to let the warranty elephant know.  I like the reminders when the warranties will expire and when the annual checkups are due - I give binders out now with the info, but it doesn't remind them about the deadlines

Dale - Thanks for commenting and contributing...  Changing e-mails addresses can be an issue for any tech related endeavor.  I hope everything is going well...

Ryan, another great find! This is a great gift for my new home buyers, especially busy moms with small children.

Sharon - I really liked the concept and thought behind this one...  I like that it is a planned approach - as opposed to a reactionary approach when something occurs and everyone is scrambling to find warranty booklets, check warranty deadlines, etc.

This is great ---- I'm eager to pass on this info to others. Thank you for sharing!

Ryan,

Thanks again for more valuable information.......you are an incredible source.

Julie - Thanks.  I like this one.  It always seems the customer can't find the warranty when needed.  We have also used it to upload and store HOA type documents. for the owner.
